Cyber Newcomer of the Year Cyber is a crowded space and it's hard to get noticed as a newcomer in the cybersecurity or insurance sector. This award is specifically designed to recognize a start-up operation from 2023 that has made a real impact on how cyber threats are identified, quantified or mitigated. The winner will have demonstrated a refreshingly new way of doing business, a technological breakthrough or a particularly interesting partnership of skills to make a splash in 2023. NOMINATION PROCESS

  • The Call for Nominations opens on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
  • You may nominate anyone or any firm – including yourself or your company – for an award.
  • You do not need to enter a nominee in all categories; just the ones you know best or care about most.
  • Entries should be based on performance or initiatives that took place in 2023.
  • Supporting explanations and rationales should not exceed 150 words AND should state clearly why the person, team, or company stands out among peers.  
  • You will be asked to provide your nominees’ contact information in your submission process so that we can contact them should they become a finalist.
  • All information provided herein will remain confidential.
  • If Zywave believes an outstanding candidate has not been nominated for an award, we reserve the right to make a nomination.
  • Zywave’s editorial team reviews both the quality and quantity of nominations in order to determine the final voting slate.
  • The Call for Nominations ends on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:45pm ET. 

VOTING PROCESS

  • The list of finalists in every category will be announced on Monday, April 1, 2024.
  • Any person with a valid corporate email address may cast a vote.
  • You are not permitted to vote for your company or your employer or any affiliated companies.  
  • We will ask for your contact details merely to verify this; your name will not be published anywhere.

  • Voting will close on Friday, May 17 at 11:45pm ET.
  • Winners will be announced from the podium at our black tie gala dinner at Gotham Hall in New York City on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
  • You need not be present to win; all winners will also be announced via press release on Friday, June 14, 2024.
