Tom Gillingham

Tom Gillingham is a 29-year veteran in the commercial specialty P&C program arena, with experience working with both carriers and program administrators. He currently serves in an executive role as NFP’s president, Commercial Risk leading the execution of the company’s commercial P&C, programs and wholesale businesses, which entail capturing new business, pursuing acquisition opportunities and expanding revenue. Tom joined NFP in 2017 through the acquisition of EverGuard Insurance Services, Inc., a program administrator that he owned and operated. Starting in 2020, Tom led the company’s programs business, which includes Totalis Program Underwriters, delivering specialty solutions for challenging and underserved areas of the market with responsibility for over $1 billion in annual gross written premiums.  Before EverGuard, Tom was the CEO and owner of another program administrator, Gillingham & Associates, Inc., the leading underwriter of outdoor recreation and hospitality businesses in the US. Tom sold Gillingham & Associates to Philadelphia Insurance Company in 2008 and remained on as president until 2010 to successfully oversee a smooth transition of the business. Tom graduated from Baylor University in 1997, where he studied marketing and risk management. He was previously Advisory Board President of the Target Markets Program Administrators Association and has served in an advisory board capacity for philanthropic organizations and for the Colorado chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Industry veteran Jeff, better known as JMC, joined Zywave in 2021 to lead the carrier and media businesses. He most recently served as president of Advisen, which was acquired by Zywave in 2020. Prior to his 17+ years at Advisen, where he led the data and media business, he spent 15 years at Bloomberg following his graduation from Cornell University. Jeff is passionate about serving the community, acting as a member of the Board of Directors for the Spencer Educational Foundation, which funds risk management and insurance education, as well as the Center for Hearing and Communication, a NYC-based, non-profit agency that helps all people with hearing loss. When he’s not working or volunteering, you can find Jeff jogging the 7-mile perimeter of Central Park and making friends wherever he goes.
